Record the minimum useful fields
For an authorized QA run, store the product build, test account alias, selected service and country, order identifier, request time, message-arrival time, and outcome. If a screenshot is needed, redact the OTP and unrelated personal messages before it enters an issue tracker. Use access-controlled storage for raw diagnostic records.
Separate support evidence from team notes
A payment support case may need a transaction hash, network, amount, and deposit time. An SMS delivery case may need an order ID and request timestamp. Neither normally needs a wallet recovery phrase, password, or unredacted OTP. Share only the fields relevant to the issue and the intended support channel.
Close the project cleanly
At the end of the test window, revoke access to temporary accounts where appropriate, remove downloaded inbox exports, and delete screenshots past their retention date. Keep aggregated metrics such as delivery success and latency if useful. Respect the destination platform’s rules and your own organization’s data policy.
Questions and answers
Should a QA report include the SMS code?
Usually no. A redacted result and request identifiers are enough to reproduce or investigate most issues.
Can a transaction hash be shared with support?
Yes when relevant, but use the official support channel and never include private wallet credentials.
Using SMS Activation responsibly
Use numbers only for accounts, applications, and tests you are authorized to access. Follow the target platform’s terms and local law. Availability, prices, supported routes, and payment networks can change, so verify current details in the dashboard before paying.
